Battery Compliance in Hungary

Collection and Recycling Arrangements in Hungary

The Batteries Directive 2006/66/EC was transposed through Decree No 443 which came into force 1 January 2013 and the Environmental Product Fee Act LXXXV.

Under the Environmental Product Fee Act LXXXV of 2011, SCIEX pays a Product Fee to the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Authority to finance the proper treatment of batteries included with AB SCIEX product when they become waste. This fee is used in part to fund a single state-owned selective waste management coordination authority; the National Environment and Nature Protection Inspectorate (OKTF).

For further information on collection and recycling of waste batteries in Hungary, please contact OKTF (06-70-777-1238, info@ohunonprofit.huwww.szelektivinfo.hu).
