Battery Compliance in Norway

Collection and Recycling Arrangements in Norway

Norway is not a member of the EU, but is a member of EFTA and the European Economic Area (EEA) and as such, its legislation closely follows that of the EU. Regulations on hazardous batteries were first adopted in 1990. Current requirements on batteries closely follow and partly exceed those of Batteries Directive 91/157/EC (as amended).

SCIEX has joined batteries compliance scheme AS Rebatt to manage all aspects of batteries collection and recycling in Norway. Please contact AS Rebatt (+47 69 10 27 70, www.rebatt.no) for further information.
