Answer

There are four types of peak selection criteria that can be applied to a SCIEX OS quantitation method: Expected RT, IS, Largest, and Group. These can be selected when working with the AutoPeak integration algorithm under Project Default Settings under the Projects menu in the Analytics mode.

  • Use Expected RT when the retention time (RT) is known and you are not using stable-labeled isotopes for your internal standard (IS). Only one fragment per analyte is allowed.
  • Use Largest when the RT is not known and you are not using stable-labeled isotopes for the IS. Only one fragment per analyte is allowed.
  • Use IS when using a stable-labeled IS for each analyte.
  • Use Group to monitor two or more fragment ions from the same precursor ion.
