Issue Description

When reviewing data in Analyst™ software in the Explore mode, the y-axis maximum value needed to be set to a fixed value, rather than to the default value of the highest intensity point.

Resolution

Setting a fixed value for the maximum y-axis value (intensity) is not possible in Explore Mode in Analyst software.

This option is available in Quantitate Mode while using peak review in a results table. To change the maximum value for the y-axis, select Tools -> Settings -> Peak Review Settings and then type in the value for intensity under Automatic Zooming -> Y axis units.

In Explore Mode, there are other options for customizing the y-axis during the peak review process. Open a data file and then under Tools -> Settings -> Appearance Options select the Multiple Graph Options tab:
graph linking options
Then select yes for Link by Default under the Chromatogram column. Under Graph Linking in the Chromatogram column, you will have the following options:
  • Time and Relative Intensity: Select to scale the y-axis the same percentage of its respective maximum for both linked graphs. This is useful when linking graphs with different intensities.
  • Time and Absolute Intensity: Select to maintain the relationship between linked graphs, scaling x- and y-axes in the same relative position for all linked graphs.
  • Link By Default: This determines whether newly generated graphs are linked. If you choose No, graphs can still be linked manually after they are created.
