How do I install MarkerView™ software 1.4 using the SCIEX OS software installer?

Answer

The MarkerView™ software 1.4 is available within SCIEX OS software as an optional integrated software components and is now installed using the SCIEX OS software installer (version 3.1 and higher) rather than using a stand-alone software installer specific to MarkerView software.

1) Install MarkerView software as a standalone software: the installer for SCIEX OS software must be downloaded and launched. A SCIEX OS screen called Choose Modules for Installation will appear, asking users to select the desired software modules (see image below). To install MarkerView software only, select the check boxes next to Processing and MarkerView software. After SCIEX OS software finishes installing, an icon for MarkerView software should appear on the desktop. Launch MarkerView and activate it with a license for MarkerView software 1.4.



2) Install MarkerView software as part of the SCIEX OS software suite: Run the installer for SCIEX OS software and select the desired modules for SCIEX OS software as well as the checkbox for MarkerView software. When SCIEX OS software completes the installation process, double click on the SCIEX OS software icon and launch the license installation screen. Install the SCIEX OS license. Once SCIEX OS software is open, navigate to the Configuration tile and select the Licenses tab to load the MarkerView license. Restart the SCIEX OS software and a new tile representing MarkerView software will appear in the Processing section of the SCIEX OS home page.


3) Amend the SCIEX OS software suite to include MarkerView software: If SCIEX OS software is already installed, and the user desires to add the MarkerView software tile, then the SCIEX OS software will need to be repaired. Navigate to the Control Panel and select Programs and Features. A list of installed software programs should appear. Select the SCIEX OS software by right clicking and then select Change. A screen with Welcome to SCIEX OS 3.3.1 Setup Wizard displayed will appear; select the option to Modify the software. On the Chose Modules for Installation page, select the MarkerView software option, leaving the other pre-checked options intact and run the installer. MarkerView will be added to the list of apps under Processing on the SCIEX OS software home page after the Markerview license is installed using the Licensing tab in the Configuration module.
