Issue Description

When installing MultiQuant™ software 3.0.3 on a PC with Windows 10 version 21H2, the installer will attempt to add Microsoft update KB2533523, an older Microsoft .NET Framework application (>10 years old); but, after a short time, the installer fails, and MultiQuant is not installed.

If a newer version of .NET Framework is already installed, the MultiQuant software installer will fail, preventing the software from completing installation.

Resolution

The MultiQuant software installer works successfully with older versions of .NET Framework. In order to install MultiQuant software 3.0.3 when Windows 10 version 21H2 is present, Windows 10 must be downgraded to an earlier version. Once the software is installed, it is fine to upgrade Windows back to version 21H2.
