Answer

There are four different multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) modes that can be acquired using SCIEX TripleQuad or QTRAP systems with SCIEX OS software.

1) MRM: All transitions are monitored for every cycle throughout the entire method duration.

2) Scheduled MRM:  Transitions are only monitored within their defined retention time window during acquisition.

3) Scout triggered MRM RT mode: The marker transition and its dependent transitions are monitored for every cycle until the next marker transition exceeds its threshold.

4) Scout triggered MRM group mode: Transitions are monitored within their defined retention time window if the marker transition for the super group exceeds its threshold.
